Adult's biological meaning refers to an animal capable of reproducing. In the context of humans, the term "adult" may mean something related to legal or social notions. Contrary to the concept of a non-adult or "minor" legally adult has attained the age of majority. They are considered independent, self-sufficient, and dependable. Legal adults can also be referred to as a major. The age at which a child turns an adult legally is 18; however, the definition of"legal maturity" may differ based on the legal or country system as well as their psychological state.

If a person attains full physical and intellectual maturity it is referred to as adulthood. Adulthood, as it is commonly understood, starts around the age of 20 or 21. The middle age stage, which begins around 40 years old then follows by the age of 60 years old. There are three primary phases of adulthood: beginning in early adults (18 up to the mid-30s), middle adulthood (mid-30s until mid-60s), and the final stage of adulthood (mid-60s to death). In the early years of adulthood we have reached the fullest physical maturation. However, our body's size and weight could grow. Our physical capabilities are peaking when we are young adults. This includes muscle strength, reflex time, sensors, and the heart's function.
